Recognition Dinner for Laborers For Christ Volunteers
Haskell LIGHT Campus Ministry recently hosted a dinner for Laborers For Christ volunteers working on the new Haskell LIGHT facility. LCMS Kansas District President Keith Kohlmeier and his wife, Marlene, as well as Stan Sneegas (Lutheran Indian Ministries Board member from Lawrence, Kansas), were present. The evening began with an honor song led by Haskell LIGHT member Tim Robinson, with the help of Will Main, Bear Tompkins, Clayton Widener and Susan Robinson. Rev. Will Main spoke of what the upcoming building means to Indian country. Patricia Main shared the heart of God and expressed how this building will play a big role in equipping Native students for their futures when they to return to their place as spiritual leaders among their own people.
President Kohlmeier and Stan Sneegas each shared words, as did Clayton Widener and Robin Santos, Haskell LIGHT administrative assistant, who thanked the Laborers For Christ volunteers for their efforts, including their wives and family who support them and continue the work in Lawrence.
"And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name." (1 Chronicles 29:13)
