Psalm 91:1-6
1Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
9Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:10If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.But how can one keep warm alone? 12Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Hebrews 4:16
16Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Reflect:
It is never easy to change our ways, but, thankfully, we don’t have to do it alone. We have a God who loves us and wants, more than anything, to be in a relationship with us. We also have a Lord and Savior who withstood the same temptations we face. Ask Him for guidance and protection as you seek to live as a child of God. Who in your life can you ask to join you in this Lenten journey?
