Wonderful Counselor - Saturday, December 12 (Advent 2020)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… And he will be called Wonderful Counselor…
Isaiah 9:6

Wonderful - פֶּלֶא (pele’) - so extraordinary it is hard to understand, separated from all others by its marvellousness

Counselor - יָעַץ (ya`ats) - advisor, consultant, to resolve together

In hope and trust, we turn to Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor.

Like a worldly counselor, he is available to advise and help us work out problems and feelings that may arise during the holiday season.

Unlike the human counselor, his answers and guidance, found in the Word, are extraordinary and perfect.

Take today to catch up on any missed days, and reflect on the Wonderful Counselor we have on call at all times.

DIG INTO THE WORD. SPEND TIME IN PRAYER. LISTEN TO WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY.
