Who am I?: Third Sunday in Lent, March 19
Jesus, help us to overcome our unbelief, and let the Holy Spirit fill us with the faith of Peter as he announced you as the Messiah. Make us people who pray, believe, and are willing to take up any cross we are asked to bear in order to glorify you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
You are loved: a women's retreat in Kansas
We've all felt rejection.
Whether you were turned down for a date or a job, rejection hurts and takes time to heal.
Being rejected by a parent, however, leaves a scar that never goes away. Nonetheless, as eight women learned, the pain of rejection can begin to fade when the love and grace of Jesus fills your heart.
Render Unto God: December 21
Dear Jesus, I pray that during the celebration of Your birthday that we would focus on the gift of You, and not focus on just the gifts under the tree. In Your name, I pray, Amen.
Create in Me a New Heart: December 12
Father, thank you for the gift of Your Son, Jesus. Thank you for the hope that we find through Him to heal our brokenness and create new and clean hearts. Help me to share this love with others during this season of Advent. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Comfort: December 7
Father, thank you for sending the promise of the Savior, through Your Son, Jesus, to bring healing to our broken and afflicted world. I ask that You would continue to open doors for us to walk alongside our Native brothers and sisters to share the Light of the Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
No Longer Lost in the Dark
I finally heard: You are not alone. We have been where you are. We have lived through this struggle. You can be Native and love Jesus. You can open your eyes and rejoice because you have been offered freedom from the prison of your secrets. We need you. We believe in you. Jesus loves you. You are forgiven.
Advent Trees: November 27th
Heavenly Father, as we await Your coming, we pray that our waiting time is productive, that we prepare ourselves for Your arrival. Let us not be weary in well doing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Haskell LIGHT House is open!
Haskell LIGHT will always be about the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the importance of sharing the truth with Haskell Indian Nation University students.
Like the Velveteen Rabbit: We Lost Our Shine & We Became Real
Our time in Oneida reminds me of the story, The Velveteen Rabbit. We grieved, and we shared Jesus. We lost our shine, and we became real.
1 Peter 5:10 says, "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen and establish you."
The Fisherman's Leap-Monday Devotion
When we are called by God, it is often out of our grasp of understanding, comfort, and everything this world has taught us is normal.
When Jesus called His disciples to come and follow Him, it was out of complete faith that they stopped everything they were doing and listened. They were willing to take a giant leap of faith to be with Him. Imagine how much different their lives would have been if they hadn’t listened, the blessings they would have missed and the road to salvation they would have squandered for themselves and others.
