Are We Listening? (Lent Devotion) - Friday, April 12
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for your love and grace. I am humbled by your love for me. I pray we would all live our lives for you. Our lives and the work we do is nothing compared to what You give freely to those who accept Your Son, Jesus, as Lord and Savior. Father, I pray, you would help all your children learn to listen for You and that you would continue to give us your grace, mercy, and love. I pray this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Invisible (Lent Devotion) - Thursday, April 11
Lord, we know you have a plan for every one of us. Help our ministry be where the Indians are, to afford them the opportunity of becoming visible, in the Light, to blossom in the Kingdom. Amen.
Tears (Lent Devotion) - Wednesday, April 10
Father God, thank you for seeing our tears and sending us help in times of sorrow and pain. Help us to come alongside those who are crying to provide your comfort. Send your peace in times of distress and your joy in times of victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
A Father's Love (Lent Devotion) - Tuesday, April 9
Father, because of our sinful nature, we will always remain like a helpless infant, unable to correct our condition apart from your intervention. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, who was willing to rescue us from eternal damnation and separation from you, and help me to lead others to the cross. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reaching the Weary (Lent Devotion) - Monday, April 8
Father, we thank you for your grace and love. Sometimes we forget what it is You would want us to do. Jesus gave us many examples and showed us what you want from us, but we don’t always listen. Too often, we are not able to see you working in others and around us because we see with worldly eyes. Help us, Father, to be better listeners and better seers of your Kingdom. I ask all this humbly in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Joy in Sorrow (Lent Devotion) - Saturday & Sunday, April 6 & 7
Take time to reflect on any past sorrow in your life. How have you seen God use it for good? Often, in our own sorrow, we find it hard to see any good. Ask someone close to you for help and a different perspective.
We are on the Way to Resurrection (Lent Devotion) - Friday, April 5
Dear Lord, thank you for showing us the way through hard times. During this Lent season, Lord, help me to see there will be victory and that your will for my life is one that will end in resurrection and hope. Thank you, Lord, that I am on the way to the resurrection. Amen.
While We Wait for Blessed Hope (Lent Devotion) - Thursday, April 4
Dear Creator God, I am sad to say that I, all too often, am just like godless people. Forgive me and fill me with Your Spirit so I can live an upright life as I wait for the blessed hope found in Jesus, my Savior. In His name, I pray. Amen.
Rend Your Hearts (Lent Devotion) - Wednesday, April 3
Lord create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew within us a right spirit! In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Double Happy Exchange (Lent Devotion) - Tuesday, April 2
O Jesus Christ, our Lord, we ask you to help us exchange the joy you have for us with others. We thank you for going to the cross where you paid the horrific costs, enduring the extreme pain of body and soul, to take the punishment for our sins, because you knew the joy of Heaven that was in front of you and us. Amen.
