Hope for Today
Greetings to all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I pray that this e-message finds you and your family members and loved ones well and enjoying this unexpected time together.
I wanted to reach out to you to encourage you, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. 365 times in the Bible the Word tells us to "fear not." That's one reminder for each and every day. More than enough to get us through this health crisis. God is more than enough. He is capable of more than we can imagine. He is in control!
Do not worry about anything during this time, but instead give praise and thanks to Him for all things. Everything is a God thing...even COVID-19. Before the beginning of time, He knew this pandemic would occur, and He alone controls the outcome. Fear not! He holds you and your loved ones in the palm of His hand. His angels are watching over you and yours even as you read this.
Do not fear for Lutheran Indian Ministries. God has more than enough work for us to do, and He will always provide the resources to do His will. LIM will be okay. In fact, I am confident we will emerge from this wider and stronger than ever! He has so much for us to do. He is in control.
We do ask that you would pray for those we minister to. Because of the call to practice social distancing, there are people we cannot currently reach. We are continuing to do what we can and are finding new and creative ways to minister and serve our Native brothers and sisters. Through hardship, we grow both individually and as the Church.
In the days and weeks ahead:
Be in prayer
Stay in the Word
I encourage you to be leaders in your community. Follow the rules placed there by your local officials. Demonstrate your leadership by being the first follower.
Find new ways to reach out and stay connected via Facebook, online worship services, e-mail, texts, and phone calls.
Ask yourself how you can reach and touch more lives with the message of the Gospel. Ask yourself and your loved ones what should I START, STOP, and CONTINUE in my life? Cast all of your cares upon Him.
Talk to one another. Be there for one another. Stay connected and share a story.
God is indeed in control of all things. He will watch over you and guide you as you seek His will and His way.
I praise God for all of you. I praise God for how He is using this time to strengthen and condition you for the battles ahead.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
In Him,
Tim
"He Never Sleeps" Don Moen
When you've prayed every prayer that you know how to pray.
Just remember the Lord will hear and the answer is on its way.
Our God is able.
He is mighty.
He is faithful.
And He never sleeps, He never slumbers.
He never tires of hearing our prayer.
When we are weak He becomes stronger.
So rest in His love and cast all of your cares on Him.
Do you feel that the Lord has forgotten your need?
Just remember that God is always working in ways you cannot see.
Our God is able.
He is mighty.
He is faithful.
